This message means that peepd couldn't find or recognize the hostname of the machine. peepd does look for both the machine's local name, it's ip address, and fully qualified host name in the configuration file while searching through classes. If for some reason this still happens to you, I suggest doing a uname -n to see what peepd thinks your machine is called, and then using that machine name within peep.conf.
